f you are a fan of barbecue, you probably know that Texas Monthly is the ultimate authority on the best BBQ joints in the state. Every year, they publish a list of the top 50 places to get your smoked meat fix, and getting on that list is a dream come true for any pitmaster. But this year, they did something different. They decided to highlight 25 new and improved BBQ joints that have opened or changed their game in the past two years. And guess who made it to that prestigious list? That's right, J-Bar-M Barbecue!

We are so honored and humbled to be recognized by Texas Monthly as one of the best new and improved BBQ joints in Texas. It's been a long and challenging journey, but we are proud of what we have accomplished and grateful for all the support we have received from our customers, friends, and family.

We are inspired by the rich history of Houston barbecue, which has been influenced by African American, Mexican, German, Czech, and Asian cuisines. We are also passionate about using local and seasonal ingredients, making everything from scratch, and experimenting with new techniques and recipes.

J-Bar-M Barbecue is not your typical BBQ joint. We are a fusion of flavors, cultures, and traditions.

Our menu features a variety of meats, from brisket and ribs to chicken and sausage, all smoked with oak wood and seasoned with our signature rubs and sauces. We also offer some unique dishes, such as our Texas Grazing Board, which is a platter of assorted meats, cheeses, fruits, nuts, pickles, and breads. It's perfect for sharing with your friends or family, or just indulging yourself.

But we don't stop at the meats. We also have some amazing sides that will make your mouth water. Our tomato salad is a refreshing contrast to the smoky meats, with fresh tomatoes, basil, mozzarella, and balsamic vinegar. Our cauliflower au gratin is a decadent treat, with creamy Gouda cheese sauce, crispy fried leeks, and crunchy breadcrumbs. And our collard greens are cooked with bacon, onion, garlic, vinegar, and sugar, creating a savory and sweet broth that you'll want to drink by the spoonful.

We also have a full bar with a selection of beers, wines, cocktails, and spirits. Whether you want a cold beer to wash down your barbecue, a glass of wine to pair with your cheese board, or a cocktail to spice up your night, we have something for everyone.

We invite you to come and experience J-Bar-M Barbecue for yourself. We are open Tuesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner service. You can dine in our spacious patio or cozy dining room, or order online for takeout or delivery. You can also book us for catering or private events.
