Since he built his first barbecue pit in his backyard with bricks he’d stolen from a nearby construction site at age 12, Mr. Toomey dreamed of creating the best BBQ in his hometown of Houston. And in 2021, at 93 years old, Mr. Toomey did just that with J-Bar-M BBQ.
